The Search for the mystical Engines continues. Fantastic Sci-Fi/Fantasy Independent Action!
Set against a 1996 backdrop, the comic follows best friends and horror nerds Sunny and Dawn as they discover that the terrors they love on screen may not be as scary as the terrors they are about to experience in life! Working at their local video rental store, the Videocastle, they have dealt with angry customers all night. Now they have to deal with the minions of Hell.
Are you going to like 'The HELL'... I really hope so! But here are a few reasons that you may end up loving it!
90's nostalgia. Taking you back to the time before streaming services and when the video rental shop was king. Strong female protagonists, tons of classic horror references, demonic scarecrows, halloween, wytches, video rental stores, possession and gore.
Comics. Like Hack/Slash, Something is Killing the Children, Walking Dead and the classic EC comics.
Movies and TV. Like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mallrats, Dogma, Empire records, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, High Fidelity and Goosebumps.
Jason Miller, creator and sole creative force of 'The HELL' is also responsible for unleashing 'Death School' on the world. He was also the artist behind the un-official sequel to 'Return of the Living Dead', written by Don Calfa and Gary Smart 'The Revenge of the Living Dead'. He has also worked for TOPPS (Walking Dead, Star Wars, Stranger Things), Upperdeck (Marvel), Dynamite Entertainment, and Bad Bug Media. To name a few.
